Chris studied French Horn performance at McGill University and has studied under Jean Gaudreault (l’Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal) and Elizabeth Simpson (National Arts Centre Orchestra). Chris is new to Toronto after spending most of his time in Vancouver and Calgary where he was principal horn with the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra (Calgary, AB), 2nd horn with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra (Vancouver, BC) and has performed with the Vancouver Island Symphony (Nanaimo, BC). Chris currently freelances and performs with different community groups around the city and is the principal horn of Summerhill Orchestra
Outside of music Chris has worked in social services for almost 20 years. Throughout his career he has been delivering anti-oppression and inclusion workshops and trainings nationally and internationally for individuals, organizations and companies. Currently Chris is the Manager of Volunteer Services with Toronto Humane Society.
