Lauren Greenberg - Composition

Lauren Greenberg (b. 2001) is a Canadian composer who began studying piano at the age of 5, and began composing at the age of 12.  She studied composition with prominent Canadian composers Kevin Lau and Saman Shahi. Subsequently, she graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor of Music in Composition, having studied under Eun Young Lee, Marti Epstein, Timothy McCormack, and Victoria Cheah. She also achieved a minor in screen scoring from Berklee College of Music. Lauren is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Theory and Composition: Concert Music, at NYU Steinhardt under Herschel Garfein.

 Lauren has composed a variety of musical pieces across classical and modern genres and has worked with ensembles including Splinter Reeds, Yarn/Wire, Factory Seconds, and Arx Duo. Her works have also been performed by the The Odin Quartet, the Peterborough Concert Band, and Stellae Boreales.
